Many of our competitors sell a very reasonably priced liner that will work in easy applications. The liners are made from recycled HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which consists of old milk and oil jugs. The material is the same thing that mud flaps are made of. In the winter, plastic mud flaps litter the ditches here in Iowa because they break when it’s cold.

You can usually identify recycled plastic by its color. HDPE is typically a pure white or solid black due to the dye placed in it to cover up the various colors of the materials being recycled. Virgin HMW is cream or vanilla colored in its natural state, with no need for dyes.

The recycled liners cost half as much or even less to manufacture than it costs to make our liners. When recycled liners are used in the winter, and broken concrete or boulders are dropped on them, the liners break like glass. The seller will not replace them.

In addition, the wear factor is very poor on recycled liners. Please don’t get sucked in by flowery ads, cheap prices, and a fast-talking sales person. Our liners are tough, proven in our own dump trucks, and unconditionally guaranteed against cracking or breaking down to –30 degrees Fahrenheit. Our liner will outlast the recycled liners many times over. Ask the other suppliers about their guarantee. We can provide you with names of our customers who first bought the recycled liners, experienced liner failure, and were given no warranty.
